PRE-NEED PLANNING FOR CREMATION

Pre-arrangements relieve much of the stress surrounding the death and burial of a loved one, as families and friends are better able to devote their energies and thoughts to the friend or relative who has died.

Pre-arrangements might include our Certificate of Intent, a notarized document, that expresses one’s wish to be cremated here at Forest Hills, and designates an individual to carry out your final wishes. You may pay in advance for a variety of services, including your cremation, a niche in our Columbarium or at Fern Hill, a cremation plot, or a full-size grave or lot on the cemetery’s grounds. Please bear in mind that the initial preparation for cremation is generally handled by a funeral director of your choice. Payment for the services of Forest Hills Crematory may be made in full with cash, check, Mastercard or Visa. Our Installment Purchase Plan for the pre-need purchase of a niche or cremation burial site allows you to make a downpayment of 30% toward the costs, and extend monthly payments over an eighteen-month period, interest-free. A certificate citing ownership and pre-paid services is then issued.
