We hasten to add that the Cemetery itself is open from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. KEYLESS ACCESS TO OUR INDOOR COLUMBARIUM
A keyless entry card system is available to all niche owners for use at our indoor Columbarium. This service allows you to visit your loved one on a schedule which has been expanded to include Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and holidays. As a niche owner, one (1) Keyless Access Card is available to you at no charge. The card is the size of a credit card with a magnetic strip which will automatically unlock the Columbarium’s front door during the following hours:
Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Saturday-Sunday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Holidays 8:30am to 4:30pm
To apply for your Keyless Access Card, you may download, print, and complete the Keyless Access Card Application form (for Niche Owners only), and mail the completed form to us. Or contact us to receive the form by mail.
HISTORICAL AREAS BURIAL OPTIONS
Forest Hills Cemetery has initiated the Historical Gravesite Project to identify gravesites in the “historical” areas of the Cemetery. We are fortunate that the original founders and designers of Forest Hills provided for generous margins of land between family lots—today these are areas that we can offer for burial. FLORAL PROGRAMS
MEMORIAL DAY FLOWERS & PLANTINGS
In early spring, we begin to prepare for our annual Memorial Day plantings. Our offerings of red and white begonia beds or potted plants provide a special opportunity for you to commemorate — in an effortless and classic way — those who have passed.
Our 2, 3 or 4 foot begonia beds are planted and potted plants are laid out in May, just before Memorial Day, and are available on an Annual Care or a Perpetual Care basis. Please note that Annual Care orders must be received by the first Friday in May to ensure planting or placement by Memorial Day for that year. However, you may order at any time during the growing season.
